My wife and I were Blessed last night by being invited to the private screening of the movie "Letters to God". This movie set to be released to theaters April 9th.
Based on a true story. Letters to God is about an eight year old boy whos name is Tyler and he is dying
from a rare brain cancer and how his mother and older brother go through the joys and fears of Tyler
being in and out of the hospital. Questioning why God let this happen and also the fear of never seeing Tyler again.
Tyler hangs on to his faith by writting Letters to God every day. This is his way of praying.
You can also see how the way Tyler and his faith has an impact on the lives of everyone he comes
in contact with. What faith and love this eight year old had.
There was alot of talking about God in the movie but to me I didn't find it preachy. Well written "Letters to God" had me on the edge of my seat and I even forgot about the large popcorn I bought.
"Letters to God" was directed buy the same person who directed "Facing the Giants" and "Fireproof".
I honestly believe that anyone who sees this movie will be touched in some way and it will make
you stop and think.

One thing I thought was great was the actor L. Derek Leonidoff who plays Pastor Andy Dugger
was there
and he spoke to the audience after the movie and he was available in the hallway after the show for questions.
I will admit that I had tears come to my eyes during the movie and also laughter.
This will be one Movie I will add to my DVD collection.
